Ruhama Foundation team members participation at the European Conference ”CONNECTIONS. Active Citizenship and Multiple Identities” constituted a mean to acquire knowledge and develop a global vision concerning the concept of european active citizenship and also a mean to get to know some of the best methods of good practice in the social field, the themes tackled within the Conference being diverse.

Presenting our own paper within the Conference means for Ruhama Foundation team a step forward, an european statement. Through the Forums organised during the Conference we managed to initiate contacts and partnerships with other european organisations and Ruhama Foundation adhered to an european social service network (ESREA).

We reckon that our Foundation’s participation at CONNECTIONS Conference, as an active participant, represented an unique opportunity for our team to learn more from the experience of other foundations, to share their own experience and to develop european partnerships. We managed to adhere Ruhama Foundation to the european social networks and even to include some of our members to the european academic community (we mention that at this Conference participated professors and researchmen that activate in universities across Europe, and among them the well known prof. Zygmunt Bauman).
